Beimen Tofu Pudding can be served either cold or hot; both cold and hot tofu pudding are sold in winter, and only cold tofu pudding is sold in summer. Traditional black tea is sold all year round. At first, there were three types of toppings: red bean, mung bean and peanut. Today, the main toppings are red bean and tapioca balls. Red bean is an all-time favorite, while tapioca balls cater to the taste buds of young people.
Since the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area Administration relocated to Beimen, it has strived to construct and develop local tourism to bring in crowds. As one of the array of stalls on the square before Yonglong Temple, Beimen Tofu Pudding is often crowded with group motorcyclists and group cyclists.
