Since its founding during the Japanese ruledoccupation period, “Xinwen Oyster Fritter” survived more than 80 years and has been passed down to the third generation. It has become the must go-eat comfort food for residents of Xinwen. Whenever people return home or from traveltheir travels, they go to eat the oyster fritter there. Some even joke that returning to Xinwen without eating the Xinwen Oyster Fritter is the same as not returning to Xinwen.

  The batter for “Xinwen Oyster Fritter” consists of rice syrup and soy flour and rice and peanut milk while its filling is made from cabbage, chives, and pork. The pork has been marinated in soyasoy sauce and Chinese herbs. This gives the fritter a unique taste after frying and is believed to be the reason behind the popularity of the “Xinwen Oyster Fritter”.

  In addition to oyster fritters and meat fritters, the store also sells radish fritters, fried vegetable ballballs, and fried sweet potato. All the delicacies are made in the store and none of them are bought. from elsewhere. These products also sell pretty well.
