Highlighting people-oriented public services, the Coast Guard Administration operates based on principles that stress on "initiative", "efficiency", "friendliness" and "marketing" to ensure service quality. To establish a good image, emphasis is placed on the conservation of marine environment and ecological protection education. Designated by Dongshi Security Office, Chiayi Coast Guard Service Area is an integrated entity comprising both  hardware facilities and online service networks that offers traffic information, weather forecast, information communications, e-bulletin and other online services. In addition, community resources are consolidated to foster a prime service team capable of catering to the people's need timely.
