Numerous seafood speciality restaurants gathered on both sides of County Road No.176 in Qigu. It is the renowned Seafood Street where visitors can taste the freshest, locally harvested milkfish, saltwater tilapia, common orient clams, shrimps, oysters and a variety of seafood. Most of the restaurants offer affordable dishes, attracting crowds of gourmets especially on weekends.

Aquaculture is a dominant industry in Qigu. Saltwater tilapia, milkfish and oysters are praised as the three treasures among all seafood in Qigu. A trip to Qigu would be incomplete without tasting some milkfish dishes and oyster vermicelli!
