Southwest Coast National Scenic Area

This eco-village used to be a major salt-making center. The offspring of salt-field workers renovated the deserted salt fields and salt-village facilities to establish this eco-village. The series of carefully planned, guided activities available at the village allow visitors to harvest salt, understand how salt is made, and try their hands at making salt shakers. The eco-village also boasts a salt wharf, coral reef walls and a mangrove ecosystem, as well as a library dedicated to the salt-making industry.
