Fishes in wetlands |
There are rich fish resources in the shallow water area along the coast, such as the Sciaenidae, Trichiurus lepturus, milkfish, Sillaginidae, over a hundred species which attract anglers spending time there. As fresh water meets seawater at the estuary where tidal impacts and changes in water salinity are common, there are plankton and different kinds of living organisms which form a complex ecosystem.
The mudskipper with two big eyes is the common visitor of the mangrove forest. They breathe with the gills in water and exchange air with their skin after leaving the water. They are a very special kind of amphibian which can crawl and jump on the beach, and even climb up trees on high tides!
